不要找設計師做尋貓海報的理由

這個故事其實是很久前就開始流傳的，

但看到朋友分享的還是讓我開心了整個上午~哈哈哈~

這是關於一個貓走失了後尋找美術設計師朋友幫忙做協尋海報的故事:)

Why never to ask favours from the designers

故事是這樣的
Story goes :

Shannon（一名祕書）走失了她的貓，所以她去找David (美術設計師)幫她做一張協尋海報。以下是他們之間往來的信件內容，請由上往下看。
Shannon (the secretary) has lost her cat and has asked David (the graphic designer) to help with a lost poster. This is their email correspondence... Read from top to bottom….

嗨
昨天我打開前門時，家中養的貓溜了出去，結果就不見了。所以我想問一下，如果你沒事要忙的話，希望你能幫我做一張海報。我要A4尺寸，這樣下午我才好影印出來，把海報貼在我家附近。
Hi
I opened the screen door yesterday and my cat got out and has been missing since then so I was wondering if you are not to busy you could make a poster for me. It has to be A4 and I will photocopy it and put it around my suburb this afternoon.

我只有這張貓的照片，我都叫他Missy ，她是隻黑白相間的貓，大約八個月大。是在Harper street不見的，另外附上我的電話號碼。感謝～
This is the only photo of her I have she answers to the name Missy and is black and white and about 8 months old. missing on Harper street and my phone number. Thanks Shan.

喔...那不是我要的我要的。這看起來像是張電影海報，還有，為什麼Missy 看起來這麼小呢？
yeah thats not what I was looking for at all. it looks like a movie and how come the photo of Missy is so small?

我現在情緒很差，整夜為此流淚，但你似乎覺得這樣很有趣。你能做大張一點的照片，並將本文上色，謝謝。
Thats just stupid. Can you do it properly please? I am extremely emotional over this and was up all night in tears. you seem to think it is funny. Can you make the photo bigger please and fix the text and do it in colour please. Thanks.

跟我們這些設計師共事這幾年以來，我還以為你知道我們並不歡迎有建設性的批評以及空泛的建議。 正常來說呢，我們設計人員的職務是不包含教你如何打EMAIL，登入FACEBOOK以及一些有的沒的小事情。海報己按你的要求修改完成。

Having worked with designers for a few years now, I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window. I have amended and attached the poster as per your instructions.

這個比之前那張更糟糕，你就不能把Missy 整張照片秀出來，然後拿掉那些missing missy的蠢字。我只是想讓人知道她走失而已。
This is worse than the other one. can you make it so it shows the whole photo of Missy and delete the stupid text that says missing missy off it? I just want it to say Lost.

天啊，你到底是要不要幫我弄海報？我只要有張照片有寫走失有我的電話號碼然後寫上何時何地走失的再加上她的名字就好。不要弄得像張電影海報，也不要寫些蠢東西了。我今天得早點走。如果今天換作是你的貓走失，我一定會幫你的。謝謝。
yeah can you do the poster or not? I just want a photo and the word lost and the telephone number and when and where she was lost and her name. Not like a movie poster or anything stupid. I have to leave early today. If it was your cat I would help you. Thanks.

我沒有養小貓，但是我曾經有個朋友寄養一隻小貓在我家一個星期，但一星期後，他沒來領回去，取而代之的是教導我如何照顧小貓.....妳懂的。

我知道，但這一隻比較可愛啊。你要知道，你貓可能己經糟遇不測，如果可以因而找到一隻更可愛的不是更好嗎。而且阿，搞不好會有誰會打給你然後說：YO~ 我沒看到你橙色的貓，但我有找到一隻後腿被車子壓過的黑、白混色的小貓，你要不要?你可以禮貌的拒絕他，因而可以省下不少的醫療費用。

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.

我並沒有說過有懸賞。我沒有兩千美金。你為什麼要在那兒寫懸賞？撇開這點都很完美了，所以能不能請你把懸賞金額給拿掉。感謝～Shan上
I didnt say there was a reward. I dont have $2000 dollars. What did you even put that there for? Apart from that it is perfect can you please remove the reward bit. Thanks Shan.

你可不可以就只把獎金那句拿掉就好呢? 我十分鐘內就得走了，我還要拿去影印呢。
Can you just please take the reward bit off altogether? I have to leave in ten minutes and I still have to make photocopies of it.
